| What is Boyz Trip? |
This
rendition of Boyz Trip formed a few years ago as a take off of other
Boyz Trips. We prefer you know somebody who knows somebody to
attend, so that somebody who knows that guy who knows you is
somewhat responsible for your actions! It's not really open to
those who just wander into camp... that may be a problem...
Boyz Trip is an excuse
to get away, act like idiot, ride quads, Rhinos, and sand cars, and
generally just kick back and be obnoxious men. I wouldn't
suggest bringing those underage unless you are prepared for them to
be around idiots, and bringing a chick of any age just We ride day an night, multiple destinations, different groups. With around 100 guys it is tough to get everybody out at once, but we try at least once that week. For '10 we will have more organized events and time schedules which will be posted on a sandwich board. Saturday night is the big get-together party night and there will be a Raffle and Fire Lighting Ceremony to cap off the week. Some of those that are 'irresponsible' may have some fireworks or Sobes... You never know what other stupid stuff will occur, so be prepared or if you have an idea initiate something yourself. Dune Dodge Ball, Glow in the Dark Golf with nothin' but Sandtraps, Washer and Horseshoe Tournaments, and always random Poker Games. The week is filmed and may again produce a video. | Who Sponsors Boyz Trip? | There are no
official sponsors and Boyz Trip isn't affiliated with any particular
group, websites, or companies. Trashracing is only a posting
place for information.It is a bunch of guys that
happen to know each other that happen to arrive at the same place
and at the same time and happen to act like idiots together.
(Read nobody is responsible for anybody's actions except the
actor...) Some guys bring some stuff to sell but that is all independent. There again will be amazing shirts (no pressure Chris) that will primarily be presold as a package with a gift bag that includes a couple Boyz Trip stickers, and a raffle ticket. We need to make sure e take care of those who bring stuff to sell so they don't get stuck with anything (aka, don't be cheap bastards). | Where is Boyz Trip? |
 This
year it will be again at Cement Flats in Glamis. If you aren't
familiar with the area, use Map Quest or something you idiot.
Glamis is off of highway 78 East of Brawley, CA. Cement Flats is on
West Side of the Imperial Sand Dunes at the South West corner of
Highway 78 and Gecko Road across from Sweet Maries store and behind
the Ranger Station. Cement Flats is a large hard packed area
that is easy to find and large enough to accommodate the group.

| When is Boyz Trip? | This year Boyz
Trip is based around the weekend of March 27-28th, but most guys
will show up on Wednesday the 24th and stay through Sunday. It is important to stake out our space prior to the regular Glamis
weekend crowds which arrive on Friday. We need plenty of room
and definitely plenty of buffer space from the regulars. LET'S
GET A GOOD SHOWING EARLY IN THE WEEK! If you haven't ridden much, get there early in the week to learn to ride before some of the big rides or you may be accidentally left in the dunes taking a Sand Nap... |
| Where do I stay? |
Since
you were invited, you probably know somebody that is bringing a rig.
If you want your own place though, there are several companies that
rent trailers and RVs, and many of the trailer rental places deliver
on the spot to Glamis. Trailer rentals are relatively
inexpensive when compared to most hotel stays... No, there
aren't any hotels there... Here are some trailer rental places that deliver to Glamis. I suggest making your reservations NOW as they do sell out. Here is a place in Corona that rents everything (RVs, trailers, Rhinos, quads) Otherwise, just friggen Google "Glamis Rentals" or something like that. |
| What do I ride? |
 Again,
you probably have a ride, or talked to whoever let you know about
this about a ride, but there are also several places that rent
quads, Rhinos, and rails. Some will deliver them to Glamis,
but your best bet is to rent one in town and trailer it out or have
somebody with extra trailer space haul it out for you. We have
used http://funtimeatv.com/ and
they had a decent quad and good service.
If you do rent a quad, be sure to have them mount paddles tires on it and you really don't want anything under 400cc's in the Dunes, regardless of how little you have ridden and how damn lame you are (hint, don't tell them you have never riden before...) Again, you can Google "Glamis ATV Rentals" too. |
| What do I eat? |
 Most
prefer a liquid diet... but man-food is generally on the menu.
Easy and quick. Personally I prefer all my meal preparation to
end with a "ding". There is also some "fast food" at the taco
stands very close to Cement Flats, but I wouldn't recommend living
on that for a week...Plenty of booze and asprin too... water ain't a bad idea either... |
| What will the Weather be like? |
Who the hell knows... We've seen rain, we've seen freezing cold, we've seen 95 degree sunny days. Generally it is around 70 in the day and cold at night. Doesn't matter really, everything is all a haze anyway and the bonfires are large at night.
